Found Flowers with Well + Wonder

Found flowers are a play on finding beauty in chaos. In one of my college art classes, we used to do an exercise where we threw paint (or whatever) on a paper or canvas without any thought, and then we went back in and highlighted “found” objects and gave them definition - sort of how you would find shapes in the clouds.

In 2022, I was feeling creatively stuck, and decided to go back to the basics and do something freeing and abstract. I remembered the exercise from college and decided to throw some paint down and then began noticing floral shapes. Thus, the found flowers were born.
